Sod House Theater Enters Seventh Season

Sod House Theater is entering its seventh season of touring Greater Minnesota and collaborating with communities in creating site-specific work that illuminates the challenging issues facing our state. This year you can support our theater on Give to the Max Day in two productions!

This summer we are touring to three Minnesota communities to perform a site-specific production of Ibsen’s Enemy of the People, featuring live bluegrass music from Ashley Hanson and Brian Laidlaw.  The production tells the haunting tale of poisoned water in a rural tourist community and its devastating effects.

In the fall, The Hoopla Train with Yard Master Yip featuring the Chmielewski Fun Time Band and Jim Lichtscheidl as Yard Master Yip will be returning for Sod House’s first Minneapolis performance run. The Hoopla Train captures the old acts from the Vaudeville era with live polka music and audience dancing.

Your donation will allow us to keep our tickets costs low and provide opportunities for seniors, low-income families, and students to see the show.
